CHILD EDUCATION in joint effort by state and federal government to enhance educational development in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Local Council Development A, two people-oriented politicians have given out five hundred and twenty GCE forms to indigent students in their constituency.
The program was hosted by the Executive Chairman [EC] of the council, Hon. Oladele Oshinowo and member representing Kosofe Constituency 2 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Tunde Braimoh.
Speaking at the event held at the council auditorium, the EC described ‘education as the most important asset to build any nation for greatness’ Hon. Oladele Oshinowo during the occasion, Oladele stated that for any nation to be developed and be regarded as a first world country, she must have invested her resources in the educational sector to build minds that will catapult her nation to greatness”
“Our administration won’t rest its oars by giving utmost attention to education; we have embarked on this journey to sow a seed with the leaders of tomorrow. God willing, at end, we would have buried youth restiveness for greatness”
“To the students being opportune to have this form,I plead with you to remain focus and shun any form of social vices”
“For any individual to be great, he or she must pass through the journey of pain to achieve gain. Please I implore my lovely children seated here to see today’s program as a point of contact for success, as such, you all must use this form to make your Ordinary Level results”
“For anyone to be successful in life he or she must be educated, the light of success is embedded in education. As such, no matter the job you are likely to engage yourself in the nearest future, the light you have acquired will surely lead you to the required point of happiness” He added
At the program were the Alaketu of Ketu, Oba Isiaka Oyero, Chairman Agboyi-Ketu APC, Prince Abiodun Adefolarin, Head of Administration, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mr Oba Adelaja, Leader of the legislative council,Hon. Tajudeen Akinyemi among many others.
Hon. Tunde Braimoh during the occasion Also, the EC leverage on the program to advice the students to shun violence, examination cheating and to remain focus.
The representative of the lawmaker, Hon. Abiodun Akhigbe further urged the beneficiaries to see education as a pivotal means for them to be successful in life.
