Rotary club to donate 5,000 books to inspire younger ones in schools

Rotary-club-428x167The Rotary club has disclosed that book donations will reignite the lost reading culture and creative writing skills among pupils in the districts Lagos and Ogun states.

The Rotaract District 9110 of Rotary Club earmarked to donate 5000 copies of Queen Prima to public nursery schools in the districts.

The disclosure was made at the 9110 District Investiture and Fundraising ceremony of Mr. Titus Ogunniyi as the 34th District Rotaract Representative (DRR).

Mr. Titus Ogunniyi disclosed that his administration’s as the District Rotaract Representative will witness massive development project mostly in the education sector.

He said, “We are going to look at basic education. We want to encourage children to start reading from young age. Honestly, when you give a child Queen Prima to read, his interest in reading will grow and the child will become a better person in the future.”

Students-Books-461x225The District Governor, Dr. Adewale Ogunbadejo, who was represented by a former Assistant District Governor, Mr. Charles Ogunmoyero in his remarks urged the new District Rotaract Representative (DRR) and his team must be above board, protect their integrity and work for the advancement of humanity.

Rotaract District 9110 comprises all the Rotaract clubs in Lagos and Ogun State. Rotaract Clubs are the youth wing of the Rotary Club International between the age of 18 and 30 years.

The District Rotaract Representative (DRR) and his team were urged to continue to fulfill its objectives in a sustainable way and impact on the youths and inspire the spirit of service among them.
