The current registration of skills acquisition of the Edo state Government is still open to new intake for registration. Youth are to registered and get employed after acquiring the needed skills to enhance their entrepreneurial capacity skills.
On Friday, the state government said that over 100,000 unemployed youths have registered in its job portals.
According to Barr Emmanuel Usoh, State Commissioner of Wealth Creation, Cooperative and Employment, stated that the governor of the state Mr. Godwin Obaseki is determined to create 200,000 jobs for the youths.
Barr Emmanuel Usoh said, “We have so many unemployable youths who have certificates but need to acquire certain skills or trainings to be able to create value for their prospective employers.”
The disclosure was made during a four-day training empowerment for students of University and Polytechnic graduates on Digital Marketing which commenced on Friday in Benin City, capital of the state.
The Commissioner further urged other unregistered youth to take opportunity offered by the Edo State Government to register.
That the Governor would ensure that all youth get registered in the Edo Jobs portal.
