Youth engagement and empowerment is critical to country’s development and progress sustainability.
In a joint collaboration by the National Directorate of Employment with the National H. Assembly in the country avers that the collaboration is to engage and train youths in business management.
The disclosure was made by the Director General, National Directorate of Employment, NDE, Nasir Mohammed, that 30 persons had been carefully selected from the country’s six geopolitical zones for entrepreneurship empowerment training in the country.
While Nasir Mohammed, DG, NDE addressing at the opening of a week-training programme in Lagos on Monday, stated that the engagement programme was targeted at graduates, school-leavers and artisans in the country’s six geopolitical zones for entrepreneurship training.
Nasir Mohammed who was represented by the NDE Coordinator, Lagos State chapter, Ologbenla Adebowale said “The trainees will be equipped with managerial skills in record-keeping and cash management in small scale business,” he added.
Ologbenla Adebowale, further said the directorate and the national assembly would address the menace of unemployment in the state to reduce anti-social vices and crimes.
The selected participants were urged to utilize the great opportunity, to make the best out of the training.
