The federal government of Nigeria under the leadership of President Mohammadu Buhari commitment towards youth empowerment and youth engagement is gaining great commendation on the positive impact the federal government empowerment programmes has achieved.
The President M. Buhari led administration of the Federal Government of Nigeria on Sunday made a disclosure that it has released N3, 770, 688, 144 for the feeding of 1, 287, 270 school children in nine (9) states out of the 36 states of the federation under the HomeGrown School Feeding Programme of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s Social Investment Programme, the government promised Nigerians.
The benefiting nine (9) states, according to the statement released that the nine benefiting states that have already received various sums in tranches from the programme are Abia State, Anambra State, Delta State, Ebonyi State, Enugu State, Oyo State, State of Osun, Ogun State and Zamfara State.
The statement was released and signed by the Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mr. Laolu Akande in Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, on Sunday 11 June 2017, disclosing that about 14,574 cooks have been employed for the speedy execution of the feeding programme, which is projected to cover over three million pupils in the current year 2017.
The federal government urges the cook to exercise due diligence in discharging and implementing the feeding programme.
