Justice Mohammed of the Federal High, Ikoyi, Lagos in the early hour of today Thursday 25 May 2017 gave an order while the court entertained the matter between the Department of State Service (DSS) against Chief Ifeanyi Ubah, the CEO/MD of Capital Oil and Gas Ltd.; the order of the court directed the DSS to release Chief Ifeanyi Ubah from their detention within 2 days of the Court order that is within 48 hours of the court order.
Justice Mohammed in a 100 page judgment, ordered the DSS to release Chief Ifeanyi Ubah from the Department of State Service (DSS)’s custody, if it fails to file a substantial charge against him.
Chief Ifeanyi Ubah was detained over alleged 11billion conversion of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) oil kept in his custody.
The Hon. Court while delivering the ruling frown against the DSS for misleading the Court that the CEO/MD of Capital Oil and Gas Ltd. Chief Ifeanyi Ubah was arrested in Abuja, while from every available evidence before the Court shown that Chief Ifeanyi Ubah was arrested in Lagos State and transferred to Abuja, where he has been detention under their custody.
