Aisha Buhari, the wife of President Buhari had pleaded her loyalty to women and children in the country that they will be empowering, train and give women opportunity to unleash their potentials.
The first lady foundation, Aisha Buhari Foundation, has further disclosed that 1,000 women in Kano State has been empowered, trained and given skill acquisition, to earn decent living.
It was disclosed that participants of the training programme and beneficiaries were selected from the 44 Local Government Areas of Kano State and were empowered and trained in skills acquisition of their choice.
The first lady, Aisha Buhari Foundation disclosed that the first batch of the beneficiaries completed their one month programme on Friday and the first lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, was in Kano State at the graduation occasion on Saturday for their graduation at the Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano State.
Some of the beneficiaries were trained and empowered in various specialized profession: fashion designing, interior decoration, spice and condiments, souvenir work, soap and shoe making as well as event management and decoration skills.
The event witnessed other special guest of honour, wife of the Vice-President, Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo, the wife of Kogi State Governor, Mrs Rashidat Bello, Senior Special Assistant to the wife of the President, Dr Hajo Sani, Dr Mohammed Kamal and the wife of Kano State Governor, Dr Hafsat Ganduje.
The beneficiaries expressed their appreciations to the first lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari and Aisha Buhari Foundation for the good work.
